Learn about the process of requesting accommodations at the college level, some common accommodations, differences between high school and college accommodations, and resources available from Megan Kissel from Johnson County Community College.
Accommodations don't stop after high school, but they're different
High School: IEP or 504 plan guides accommodations. College: Individual responsibility to request accommodations.
High School: Parents often involved in accommodation process. College: Student takes the lead in requesting accommodations.
High School: Accommodations may be more structured. College: Accommodations are determined on a case-by-case basis.
